I have finally rediscovered my love of ceramics after years and years. The neighborhood I live in has access to tools, supplies, instruction and everything I would need to start my own little studio. I'm starting small, very small. I've been working through hand building projects within my office space using a folding table, canvas fabric for rolling and building and really simple glazing. I just got my first batch of bisque ware back from Georgie's Ceramics (who have been so nice and patient with me), and I'm ready to glaze.Read More
I wanted to do my New Years cards a bit differently this year. Because Erik and I have been spending a lot more time taking pictures from our adventures, I thought it would be nice to showcase some of my favorite shots from the past year (thanks to my brother Evan for the suggestion). Each card has a different image and some hand lettering I sketched on my iPad Pro. I was only able to print 25 of these, so I'm sorry I can't send more out. Peace and love to everyone!
I got myself an iPad Pro a few months ago and have been going bananas drawing and illustrating as much as I possibly can. This is one I did from our road trip to Utah this past October. We saw and did so much, it was a bit of a whirlwind. But all that car time lent itself well to familiarizing myself with some pretty cool apps (like Procreate). I'm going to try to get into the habit of post stuff up here as much as possible.
Took a wonderful trip down to LA and Palm Springs this past April to celebrate my 30th birthday. I spent a week working remotely, seeing friends and family, and took a bit of time off as well to visit Disneyland and Joshua Tree. I can't wait to go back!Read More
We recently experienced a comical amount of snowfall in Portland that made me question if I really relocated to the right city. I thought I moved away from this shiz?! Thank god I work from home y'all, though, any time it snows, no one seems to go to work. This is the first time I've seen the St. John's bridge covered in snow, and Pier Park was quite a sight as well. I've since escaped back up to Seattle for work, but I've heard things have yet to improve. Erik and I trekked out this past weekend to snap a few snowy pictures around the neighborhood.Read More
We took a short trip down to Sacramento over the holidays and spent some time exploring Monterey Bay and Pebble Beach over the weekend. We watched a man play bagpipes on the course at sunset, which was magical, took a lovely hike through Point Lobos Park and visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I got a lot of great shots, enjoy!Read More
