Fall is here, hooray! It has been months since we have gotten out into nature for a hike, so we took advantage of the good weather last weekend and drove out to Lake Annette for a 7.5 miler. We set out early to avoid the crowds, but honestly, this was not a very crowded hike in general, even when we were heading back down to the car. The colors were obviously popping, as you can see.
Once we got to the lake, the temperature had dropped significantly, so we didn't stick around very long. But it was gorgeous, nonetheless, and there were a bunch of really aggressive birds that were flitting around everyone for food scraps. We snapped some great pics. This was a good one, but I'm really itching to get out and do an even longer hike now!
