Erik and I took a short day trip to Crescent Lake in Olympic National Park to explore the rainforest a bit and escape the city. I've heard a lot about this part of Washington but didn't really know what to expect. For instance, I kind of expected the sun to be out, not sure why. It was foggy and on the verge of rain the entire time. Though, none of that really mattered because we were covered by trees most of the hike. Tall, tall trees, covered in moss.
This seems like a great area to observe wildlife. You'll notice a shot of America's favorite bird as well as a blurry shot of a deer further down. There were waterfalls and storm kings and fun was had by all. I'm excited to dive deeper next time and explore more of the peninsula and rainforest. I heard there are some hot springs waiting to be found! Hot dog!
