Hoonuit

ART DIRECTION, ILLUSTRATION, VIDEO

Hoonuit is a web-based, on-demand educational tool designed to teach software and writing competencies through short, targeted video tutorials. They needed help creating an illustrated look and feel for a series of videos marketing existing and new product features. I created illustrations to help tell their story.

The goal was to create something that would resonate with their key audience of administrators and educators, something simple, modern, and data-driven. The resulting videos feel cohesive and clearly and effectively communicate product benefits in a visually engaging way.

PARADIGM SHIFT

The first video I helped create focused on representing how data can support a paradigm shift in education. These videos are targeted toward administrators and educators alike. The illustration style was determined early on based on existing brand assets, but I had to create many additional illustrations in the same style and color palette. Below is a glimpse at the high-fidelity storyboards I created. These were mocked up frame by frame with the script in Google slides for client reviews.

Above are final style frames based on the script provided by the client.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The second video I helped create provides a quick overview of the Hoonuit community engagement solution, which helps education agencies promote school quality and increase transparency by informing stakeholders and engaging communities. One challenge was figuring out how to seamlessly integrate product screenshots.
