My process included sketches and mood boards to represent different directions we could push the brand. I also created low-fidelity logos once my client chose a specific direction for the look and feel of the branding.

My client loved the authentic feel of option 2. It evoked everything she wanted the brand to represent: warmth, friendliness, and simplicity. After playing with color options and working through final iterations, we landed on a logo. However, potential legal issues forced my client to change the name, which required some last-minute edits. But, I came up with a simple solution that retained the elegance of the original logo. Sol Bowl became Sol Bowl PNW.

I absolutely love photography, so I put my skills to use and conducted a photoshoot using my own camera and equipment to capture the main menu items for use in promotional materials, signage, and marketing on social media. The results were lovely and vibrant.

I designed promotional materials and swag. I also created all the interior signage for my client including the main menu board, window clings and printed menus. I even did a bit of copywriting and editing. I worked with local vendors as much as possible and assisted my client with her larger online order and communication with vendors.
