Fire TV Templates
After creating several autogenerated ad templates for our in-house and paid advertising partners, I saw an opportunity to simplify and improve the process. Originally, each template was created custom per advertiser, which took approximately 30 days for design and development. I created four templates for common use cases to help reduce the time and resources needed to complete each request.
Process
I started by completing a brief creative audit of existing Fire TV ads to identify patterns for templates. I narrowed my findings down to four template varieties with examples below:
SPORTS MATCH-UP | SPORTS/EVENT | MEDIA | BRANDED
I used these creative examples to help develop each template. After presenting and securing approval by leadership, I worked with my program managers and engineering to start developing use cases.
Below are wireframes and final redlines for the first template (sports match-up), which included 2 variations to allow for both key art or text to display competing teams.
